Presenting a Good Row Profile for Harvesting

Make sure you have a good row profile when finally filling in your plant cane.

You must remember that if you thrash blanket this is the last time that you put an implement into the paddock so you need to present a good profile for the harvester.

We have seen some inprovement in row profile in the past twelve months but more needs to be done.

It is easy to blame the harvester operator but if you don’t present a well profiled block you can’t expect the operator to do a decent job.

A decent profile is around 150mm above the actual ground level.
